Fees, Insurance & Practice Policies

Beginning therapy is an important step. I try to keep the practical side of the process clear and straightforward so that we can focus our time and attention on the work itself.

Session Length

Individual psychotherapy sessions are typically 50 minutes in length.

Fees

Fees for psychotherapy services are $400 an hour.

Insurance

My practice operates on a private-pay basis. I am not directly in-network with insurance companies.

However, some clients choose to use out-of-network benefits. If your insurance plan provides out-of-network coverage, you may be able to submit documentation to your provider for possible reimbursement.

I recommend contacting your insurance company directly if you would like to understand your specific benefits.

Payment

I bill for each month of work on or around the 1st of the next month and I ask that you pay in full by the 15th. Billing and scheduling are handled securely through my practice systems.

Paperwork & Intake Forms

Before our first meeting, you will receive a small set of forms to review and complete by email.

These may include:

Completing these forms ahead of time allows us to use our first session more effectively.

Cancellation Policy

Therapy is a commitment. You will be offered a consistent, ongoing appointment time in the therapist’s weekly schedule—for example, every Tuesday at 2pm.

If you’re unable to attend a session, please call Dr. Klein. Every effort will be made to find another time within that same week. If a replacement time cannot be scheduled, the therapist will try to offer your session to another client.

If the hour cannot be filled, you will be responsible for the cost of the missed session.

Confidentiality

Psychotherapy is a confidential process conducted in accordance with professional and legal standards. Details about confidentiality and its limits are explained in the therapy agreement you will receive before beginning treatment.
